Back on the Ranch

Back on the Ranch (and Back on the Blog!)

Hey everyone—it’s been a minute!

Life has a way of galloping ahead (much like a certain namesake goat I’ll introduce in a second), and I haven’t been updating the blog as much as I’d like. But I’m back, and a lot has happened here on the ranch in Mexico while I was away.

For starters, our little farm family has grown in every direction. We’ve added more hens and roosters to the coop, welcomed some adorable lambs, and believe it or not—peacocks! They’re just as dramatic and fabulous as you’d expect.

And speaking of fabulous, I now have a baby goat of my own named Sham—yes, after the racehorse that gave Secretariat a run for his money. He’s scrappy, fast, and already ruling the place like a tiny four-legged king.

We’ve also had a bit of a human expansion! There’s a new roommate on the ranch: Holly, another Vegas native like myself. It’s been fun having someone from the same hometown around, especially out here in such a different world. We’re even in the process of building a new apartment on site—more space, more projects, and more stories to come.

Thanks for sticking with me. I’ve missed writing here and sharing pieces of ranch life. More soon—because when you live with goats, peacocks, and people from Vegas in rural Mexico, there’s never a dull day.
